ST LEONARDS FOLIO BAG for men and women

AVAILABLE FOR PRE - ORDER - buy now and receive End July.

After a long hiatus, the wonderful understated messenger bag is back.

The Folio bag was designed by K as a nod to a treasured un-dyed leather music manuscript case she had bought from Heal's department store in London's Tottenham Court Rd. It was 1989, and as K was a teen with a small pocket money allowance, this had been a milestone purchase and one that was part of her stepping stone of desire for high quality clothing and accessories for the rest of her life. Little did she know that this bag would figure in her own collections decades later.

The Folio bag follows the principles of St Leonards accessories - understated, pared down, and supremely practical.

Less is always more in our books.

A luxurious full grained Italian cow hide leather that's about 2.5mm thick is selected and as the design consists of large pattern pieces, there is no room for flaws or pox marks on any hide. It's unlined so the beauty of the leather's reverse can shine through, and a super heavyweight British made cotton webbing strap is selected to provide a generous support on the shoulder and across the chest whether you are walking to work, sightseeing or cycling.

A heavy duty press stud closure keeps things secure and the darts, more commonly seen in fashion rather than bag making, gives the bag volume. There is a small patch pocket inside. The wide strap has adjustable sliders to make it longer or shorter depending on your style and size.

The leather is waxy and will soften and flex and become more capacious, the more it's used. It will become a treasured friend.

Available Colours:

Chestnut and Black bags are shown, Nude is a light creamy tan, like the leather you'd see on a Greek Island sandal or belt. It gets darker and deeper tan as the oil from you hands work on it and as the daylight naturally tans it. It's a beautiful work in progress that grows a patina as unique as you. It will have the same coloured webbing strap as per the Chestnut version.
