St Leonards offers you a taste of the Seaside HQ studio experience.

Come down to the coast for a day or weekend break and learn how to make a simple stylish leather product.

Set in the heart of the Burton St Leonards conservation area St Leonards is a stone throw from the beach, and the new shop is the perfect place to learn a new skill.

Norman Road with an ecclectic mix of interior stores, junk shops, galleries and a good selection of cafes to suit most tastes.The shop can be reached by car boat or train.Direct trains from London Charing Cross or Charing Cross take approx 1hour 45mins, or the scenic coastal rail route from Victoria via Eastbourne is 2hrs.

Days:

The workshops can be booked for a Monday or Tuesday* and takes place over 1 day, from 10 til 6/6:30pm in the studio section of the new shop.

If you're planning a mini break let K know - she can recommend places to stay.

This workshop takes you through all the stages needed to make something beautiful in leather. You'll trace around a pattern, mark out all your notches, punch holes, learn to cut leather with a knife, rivet studs in place, learn how to fix a press stud and stitch the peices together using an industrial walking foot machine. You get a high level of tuition from "K" and you're in a small group of either 2 or 4 people depending on the product chosen.

Class numbers: 2 and/or 4 people

Restrictions: There must be a min of 2 bookings per class for the workshop to go ahead.If you can book 2 people at the same time then there's a discount of £20 off the total as a thankyou for making my life much easier!

*If Monday and Tuesday are no good then a Saturday can be made available.Please get in touch with "K" and she'll do her best to get someone else to cover the shop. Because of this, there's an additional charge of £40 per person to go towards the extra staffing costs this will incur.

Accessibility:There is a small step into the shop. You must be able to stand and/or perch on a stool for most of the day.

Payment: Courses are booked through the website or the shop and are non-refundable. If you can't make it due to illness please get a friend to take your place or contact St Leonards to get another date rearranged.
