FRACTURED VESSELS 1 & 2

£90.00

Part of a series of new art I'm working on. I use a mixture of pen, crayon, acryiic and household emulsion on board or canvas.

I recreate vessels or urns I've previously seen in museums or archaeological sites from old family holidays and sketchbooks. I visited lots as a child and have remained fascinated by these snapshots of ordinary life, thousands of years before I showed up.

I sketch the urn or vase and then with paint, proceed to "bury" them by creating fractures and lines around them. I keep on painting the voids and spaces until the vessel almost disappears.Buried back into the strata of abstraction.

These pieces are sold separately and will look beautiful,  professionally mounted in a wooden tray frame.

The images show some of the progress pics. The ones with the darkest colours are the finished, completed works.
